We provide excellent, appropriate care for patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors. We also pride ourselves on our extensive training in the care of pregnant women, professional/elite athletes, and special needs children.
The number of visits needed varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual needs of the patient. Some patients may see results after just one visit, while others may require a more extensive regimen before progress is significant.
During your first visit, we will discuss your medical history and any current symptoms or concerns you may have. We will also perform a physical exam and may perform diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, if necessary. Find more information about becoming a new patient here.
We believe insurance should not limit the care we can provide to our patients. ASF is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies besides traditional Medicare. We are happy to supply you with a "super bill" which you may submit to your insurance company. If you have out-of-network coverage, then you may be eligible for reimbursement. Feel free to contact our helpful staff at 704-663-5142 if you have further questions regarding insurance.
At ASF we aim to keep the finances of improving your health both simple and attainable. A typical new patient visit price depends on the services needed and rendered but is usually between $150 and $300. Most patients find that continuing care visits are in the cost range of a specialist insurance copay. Full payment is expected at the time of service except in cases where we are billing Medicare or an insurance company responsible for an auto injury claim. There are multiple visit packages available for many services which decrease the price per visit. Our friendly front office staff can answer any questions you may have about finances at ASF if you call 704-663-5142.

"A practitioner using Functional Nutrition is going to work with whole food supplements, herbs, essential oils, homeopathy, and dietary suggestions to help support what your body needs in order to heal. Many people are finding today that they have “normal lab tests” or a “clean bill of health” per their regular doctors but they still don’t feel well. There are answers as to what is happening in this case and there are things that can be done. The disease process takes time to manifest and in many cases, a disease is on its way to occurring but the current Western medical approach can only address once the disease has reached a certain level and is seen “out of range” on lab tests to name it and medicate it. The key to health lies in prevention! If you can support the body and give it the energy necessary to thrive and function at a higher level then you can stop that process from advancing. Finding out exactly what the body needs and providing it with the tools to heal via nutritional support is the goal of Functional Nutrition. "
